Much of the festivals in the Indian Subcontinent draw their origins
from religion which forms the fabric of Indian social life. Festivals
in India are colorful, boisterous and spirited. The most famous
of them is the Festival of Lights, Diwali which is predominantly
celebrated all over India while Holi with its rich colors easily
qualifies as the festival with an inherent joie de vivre.
